Silence removers cut the gaps, and filler-word removers cut the ums. CutUGC also understands what you said: it spots when you repeated a line, compares the takes, keeps the best one and drops the rest, along with the ums, false starts and dead air.
More than a silence cutter
A threshold-based silence remover cuts wherever the audio drops. That shortens the video, but every duplicate take stays in, and you still have to choose between them by hand.
CutUGC transcribes the clip word by word, groups the takes of each line, and measures every take: fillers, restarts, the longest pause, pace, energy, and whether it was finished. The AI then watches the footage and picks the take that sounds best, not just the last one.
What gets removed
- Pauses longer than the limit you choose, trimmed to a natural gap.
- Filler words and throat-clears.
- False starts and abandoned sentences.
- Every duplicate take except the best one.
- Dead time at the start and end of the recording.
What gets kept
Not every silence is dead air. CutUGC protects meaningful pauses, like a reaction, a beat before a punchline, or a moment to read something on screen, and shows each one as a switch so you can decide. Cuts always land between words, so no syllable gets clipped.
Then it finishes the edit
Once the gaps and retakes are gone, the same pass adds a 9:16 crop, a hook, punch-in zooms and word-by-word captions. If you only want the clean cut, switch the effects level to none.
Questions
Can I undo a cut the AI made?
Yes. The transcript shows every word, including removed ones. Select any words to restore them or cut more, and re-render in seconds.
Can I keep every line instead of making a short?
Yes. Full-script mode keeps the whole piece and uses the best take of every line, with no target length.
Does it work if there is no speech?
Clips without speech are still cut and cropped, just without captions or take selection.
